What’s THE WINDOW?

Named after the place we used to go to make bets, THE WINDOW is a publication and podcast provided bettors with analysis and insights into sports betting, with a focus on football - College and the NFL - as well as March Madness and the NHL.

Two-time cash winner in the Las Vegas Supercontest and former lead betting analyst at theScore, Matt Russell is determined to prove that direct-to-consumer sports betting content can work for the user and the creator alike.

As a result, ALL the content for the 2024-‘25 season has been FREE. Follow along, or read to learn more about how point spreads and moneylines are made, and what it truly means to find value in sports betting markets.

While completely free now, THE WINDOW will switch to a paid-subscription format in the summer of 2025, where you can join via one of three plans:

At THE WINDOW, we celebrate the wins and commiserate the losses, and are transparent about both. While winning is always the goal, Matt believes in responsible betting as a form of entertainment, and hopes readers and listeners enjoy the process before finding out the game’s result. After the game is over, we’ll break down what went right or wrong on THE WINDOW Podcast, all in the hopes of making THE WINDOW “Panes” (Sports)book smart!
