Welcome back to “The Quicks” - our high-volume, micro-betting venture in college basketball betting! If you’re new, or need a refresher, here’s our angle as we hope to turn a possible edge into profitability for the rest of the CBB season.
Sunday was indeed a fun day, as The Quicks produced a 11-4, but as we preach a level head in this venture, it’s worth noting that we were 4-1 in games that finished around the point spread, and also got good closes from Drake in overtime and UCF (-2.5) getting fouled with one second left. In fact, in the 4pm ET window, there were four games that hovered right around the point spread all at the same time, with less than two minutes to go.
Week 3 will be likely be our last week without any subjectivity.
For example, the SWAC and MEAC are on trial tonight. Games bet from those conferences are 8-17, which is the difference between being 54% and 52.6% over the nearly 300 games bet in the last two weeks. There’s some theories up for discussion on the podcast as to why that’s been the case, but with five of their eight games qualifying for a play on Monday, we’ll give those conferences one more chance to maintain inclusion, before we make the executive order to ban them.
All in all, we’ve got bets for 16 of 27 games on Monday, as we start a new week - one that will end with the first conference tournament tipping off with A-Sun on Sunday.
