Welcome back to “The Quicks” - our high-volume, micro-betting venture in college basketball betting! If you’re new, or need a refresher, here’s our angle as we hope to turn a possible edge into profitability for the rest of the CBB season.
Yesterday’s mega-marathon of college hoops betting didn’t go as well as the previous Saturday, a strong finish put the record at 38-41, but a week that’s been characterized by the close ones not falling the right way amidst free throws and overtimes continued that way.
While a 6-8 record in games that game down to one bucket doesn’t seem so bad, if you take out the pick’ems (where the only goal is literally picking a winner, so a one-point win is less about the roulette-ball bounces in the end), our luck quotient, if you will, went 2-6.
That doesn’t include Harvard banking in 3-pointer to force overtime against Penn (-2), and then go on to win, as this headline succinctly sums it up.
With bets on just over half of Sunday’s games, we’ll hope The Quicks finish strong to save some face in Week 2.
